The Victoria Conservatory of Music offers:

Melodies and ABCs

The Conservatory of Music in partnership with Capital Families Association is offering a summer music program for children age 3 to 5 years. The program is designed as an introduction to school readiness for parents and preschoolers. Some of our goals are to work on academic skills, social skills and gross motor skills through the use of music.

Thursday mornings, starting April 24
Time: 9:10 - 9:50 a.m.
Room 2206 (2nd floor) West Shore Child, Youth & Family Centre, 345 Wale Road.

Community Garden Plots in Colwood - FULL

Thanks to a great response, there are no more garden plots available at this time for the 2008 growing season.

If you are still interested in a community garden plot, please contact the coordinators to be added to a list in the event a plot becomes available, and to better gauge the interest in community gardening.

Mission

Capital Families Association is a registered charity providing a variety of services to people of all ages in the West Shore area of Victoria.

Capital Families Association works in partnership with community, families and individuals. We develop and implement programs that:

  • Strengthen self reliance,
  • Enhance community participation and well being,
  • Provide opportunities for individuals and families to build the capacities and skills to meet life's challenges and thrive.

Capital Families Association has served families and individuals of all ages in the West Shore for over two decades. Our programs include a Family Resource Centre, a daycare centre for young parents and their children, family counselling of elementary school age children, organic garden project, Volunteer Services to seniors and people with disabilities. We work from a Community Development perspective to help build individual and community resources to prevent crisis.
