The purpose of REACH Young Parent and Early Childhood Centre is to support healthy development in infants and toddlers; and to promote the well-being of families while young parents pursue education or personal development goals.

REACH is a specialized Early Childhood Centre for infants and toddlers ages 0-36 months.

REACH follows the Hours of Belmont Secondary school open each week day from

8am-3:50pm.   It is important to note that because REACH follows the school year calendar it is closed on school holidays and Pro-D days.

Philosophy of REACH: Reach offers quality, inclusive childcare in a relaxed family-style atmosphere. We believe that infants and toddlers need a consistent, stable environment in which to develop and practice new skills; form warm and nurturing relationships and feel empowered.

REACH Childcare centre is an inclusive, strength based agency, we believe that by supporting our young parents in a positive and non-judgmental ways we are able encourage healthy habits and choices and foster strong bonds between the parents and their children.  To assist in making young parents lives that much easier some of the things we provide are: Snacks and Meals are provided (except for baby formula) Parent Resource Room and Library Toy Lending Library Consistent and positive care of children Outside time each day Naps and Quiet time on Mats or in Cribs Knowledgeable, kind, staff who are ECE and Infant and toddler certified.

At REACH we realize that young parents often receive negative messages from society and we are aware of how hard that can be.  Please let us know what kind of supports you need to keep working towards your goals of education and personal development.  REACH offers an environment where parents can visit, low staff/child ratios, well trained and experienced staff and a reputation for excellence in the community.

We are able to offer connections to an outreach worker based out of Capital Families and to run a Young parent support group once a month which gives parents the chance to come and ask questions or discuss anything that may be on their mind in a warm, caring environment with their peers.

REACH daycare in NOT a typical daycare!  It is so much more, if you are a young parent who is under the age of 21 and wanting to continue your Educational goals, or personal development and your child is under the age of 36 months then you should give REACH a call, you will feel the warmth and acceptance the minute you walk through the door.
